Treat Your Business Like You Would Your Job

It came to me sometime today why so many people who try to create an income on the Internet fail.  It is really not from lack of understanding or lack of knowledge.  It is not from lack of a good product or a good company.  And, it is not from not having the passion to create something greater and financially more stable for their family.  The real problem, in most cases, is that these people are not taking their business seriously and treating it like a real job.

For example, if you had a job working for an employer and you knew that every day you had a list of things that must be done would you do them?  Most likely your answer would be, yes, of course I would do them.  If you didn’t do these tasks that were assigned to you every day eventually your boss would get upset and reprimand you and possibly fire you.  So, to keep your job and make your boss happy, you continue to do the tasks required of you to not only keep your job but to get paid, right?

So, now you have decided to embark on starting a business on the Internet.  Whether it be joining a network marketing company, setting up an affiliate site or creating an online store you probably have realized by now that there are certain things that need to be done to make this business worthwhile and start bringing you in money.  The big question is, ARE YOU DOING WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO MAKE YOUR BUSINESS WORK?

You do all that needs to be done in your J.O.B. don’t you?  Then why not recreate your thinking and make your new business a real job with daily tasks that must be done?  Rearrange your mind set knowing that if these tasks are not done you will, in essence, be fired from your own business.  Well, you might as well be fired because if you know what has to be done every day and you are not doing it, then why work for yourself in the first place?

You see, there really is no purpose in joining a businessopportunity or creating your own business if you do not commit to doing the work required.  I realize that starting something new is difficult and finding the time and effort is hard to do.   I know this because I have been in the driver’s seat of my own businesses for years and some have done well but a lot have failed.  The ones that succeeded were the ones I took seriously.  The ones that failed…well, let’s just say I was fired pretty fast from those.

Take your business seriously and do what it takes to make it happen.  Down deep in your heart you know that you have a passion to work for yourself and you want to create a better life.  Create a schedule to make absolutely sure that you never have to be fired from your own business!
